Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Surgical/Scrub Tech to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in surgical procedures by preparing the operating room, organizing surgical instruments, and providing support to surgeons and nurses throughout the surgery.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures
2. Sterilize and prepare surgical instruments
3. Assist the surgical team during procedures
4. Pass instruments to surgeons during surgery
5. Maintain a sterile field and ensure a safe surgical environment
6. Assist with patient positioning and prepping
7. Handle specimens and track surgical counts
8. Clean and restock operating rooms post-surgery
9. Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide excellent patient care
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) certification
2. High school diploma or equivalent required
3. 2+ years of experience as a Surgical/Scrub Tech in a healthcare setting
4. Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and equipment
5. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
7. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
8. Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects
